Fairy Ink Spirit Contest Entry: Cherisse

Here is my entry for the ink spirit contest! It is a fairy ink spirit named Cherisse!

Cherisse's story starts out in a small and obscure village in Lavanax. Her egg was bought by a young apothecarist in a sort of black market, so she never met her parents. She was raised by the apothecarist for the majority of her life, helping her make medicine and heal the injured. Cherisse was as close to the apothecarist as a child was to a mother; however, one day, the apothecarist was accused of witchcraft by paranoid village folk. That village was quite mistrusting of magic and magical creatures, so they turned suspicious when they witnessed ill individuals leave the apothecary in seemingly perfect health. The young apothecarist knew if they found Cherisse, they would kill her since they would think she was a familiar. The apothecarist urged Cherisse to flee before she was found, and Cherisse did what she was told. She was able to flee to the forest before the villagers arrived to take the apothecarist away. Cherisse didn't know whether her former caretaker is still alive or not, which caused her much grief. Yet, while in those woods, Cherisse was thrilled one day as she spotted ink spirits just like her. She had not known there were others like her, and joined the ink spirits so she could find a new home. She still thinks about the young apothecarist sometimes, and wonders if she can find her again.
